Overview
The blessing system in Legend of Ares is for upgrading items to acquire more damage or armor as you progress through each plus. This system uses a percentage based success rate.
Upgrading Weapons
Any weapon in Legend of Ares can be upgraded to a max of +15 using "Scroll of Destruction". These scrolls come in different variants: Scroll of Destruction, Scroll of Destruction +1, Scroll of Destruction +2 and Scroll of Destruction +3 to name a few. The first variant can be purchased from the Accessories Merchant NPC in Etana. To use the scrolls, you need to right click the scroll, then left click the item.
Items that are considered weapons are Swords, Spears, Staffs, Bows, Orbs or anything else that gets placed into the left weapon slot in your character window.
[Weapons] Upgrading from 0 - 4
Weapon upgrades from 0 - 4 should use "Scroll of Destruction" which you can get from the Accessories Merchant NPC in Etana. These scrolls from 0 - 4 cannot fail. It should be noted that you can use +1, +2 and +3 Scrolls of Destruction from 0 - 4 if you wish.
[Weapons] Beyond +4
After you have reached +4, you will no longer be able to use Scroll of Destruction, you will need to use the other variants, +1, +2 and +3 etc. As they say they add the + figure to your weapon.
Example: A player has a +4 weapon and uses Scroll of Destruction +3 on it, if successful then item then will be a +7 weapon.
Where are +1, +2 and +3 scrolls found?
These can be found from killing monsters or looking in players vendors that are selling them.

Blessing Failing
Before attempting to bless your items, its important to understand the consequences of failing.
- If blessing failure occurs from +3[Armors] and below or +4[Weapons] and below, the item will go back to +0 and will not be destroyed.
Example: Upgrading a weapon from +4 to +7, if this fails, the weapon goes back to +0.
- [Weapons] Failing at +6 or higher will result in the weapon staying at +6 but being destroyed.
- [Armors] Failing at +5 or higher will result in the armor staying at +5 but being destroyed.
Example: Upgrading a weapon from +6 to +9, if this fails, the weapon stays at +6 but will be destroyed.
Retrieving Destroyed Items
Destroyed items can be retrieved from the Sanctuary Priest NPC in each sacred land for a cost under Restore Cost . The higher the plus value, the more expensive the resurrection cost. Destroyed unique items cannot be resurrected
Unique Vs Non - Unique Items
Unique items are far more superior than non - unique items and therefore incur a drastic penalty if you fail above a certain threshold.
- [Weapons] Failing at +6 or higher will result in the weapon being destroyed and not being able to resurrect it.
- [Armors] Failing at +5 or higher will result in the armor being destroyed and not being able to resurrect it.
