In an unfortunate turn of events it has been decided to bring the server down for a critical issue that has occurred. Being direct some users have found a way to duplicate items. Details are still emerging but from initial investigations it looks contained to a set of individuals over a small window of time. The issue is also contained to items that are stackable. Out of abundance of caution, we have taken the server offline and it will remain unavailable while we work on a fix and clean up.

Our logs are extensive, and every single impacted item will be removed. On the side of actioning accounts - there is zero tolerance here. Users performing, assisting, or benefitting intentionally will be permanently removed from the game. The target is to have zero impact to the game when the servers come back online. 

There is not an estimated time for service to be restored. At this time, it is expected to be at least for most of today. More updates to follow. 

Update 11:30PM PT

The team has been working nonstop since this announcement was made. We've analyzed over 500GB of logs for September alone. We've found multiple accounts engaging in this behavior and the impact is extensive. Everything is being traced and will be removed. We have banned these players, but we need to go through every set of logs since the rebuild was released to ensure we've tracked all of the cheating users.

The server will remain offline at this time and the team will be working through the night analyzing the logs and finding further impact.

We have resolved the core issue that created this ability, so our current plan is to find the users who engaged in this behavior and permanently ban their accounts. Once this is done, we'll be spending much more time finding all impacted items/money. Since that'll take more time, we'll be disabling all item/money movement abilities between players until we can eliminate the impacted items. This way you can return to play while we work on ensuring the integrity of the game, your characters, and your items are protected.

Depending on item tracing, further permanent bans will most likely be handed out, along with any other bans we see fit. There is zero leniency in this type of behavior.
